Labrador's North!

Vibrant Inuit Culture and Beautiful Arctic Scenery

Experience the Inuit way of life on a five day cruising adventure up the North Coast of Labrador. Your journey will take you to the five communities of Nunatsiavut, where you will meet many local residents and learn about the history of the Labrador Inuit through their stories, walk through historic sites of national significance, taste local wild foods, look for polar bears, seals, minke whales, and other wildlife, and enjoy many of the local crafts of the region.

A return trip from Happy Valley-Goose Bay to Nain takes five days to complete. Departing on a Monday, you will spend 2 ½ days travelling up the North Coast towards Nain, stopping in each of the five Nunatsiavut communities along the way. Once you reach Nain, the ferry will turn around and head back south to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, spending another 2 ½ days travelling back south down the coast with stopovers again in each Nunatsiavut community.

Note: This experience can be booked by calling Nunatsiavut Marine reservations staff  at (709) 896 - 2262, or on-line by clicking the Reservations link at the top of this page.
